The Ontario Pain Foundation is an innovative not-for-profit charity created in 2008, whose mandate is to undertake educational events, courses and programmes on behalf of patients living with pain with the objectives of improving quality of life and life habits, and to promote access to better and faster pain therapies.

The Ontario Pain Foundation believes that greater public awareness of the impact of pain will draw attention to the desperate need for more resources. The Ontario Pain Foundation believes that a targeted, co-ordinated initiative in which all stakeholders play significant roles can make life more liveable for people with chronic, debilitating pain.

The Ontario Pain Foundation works closely with policy and decision makers, elected government officials, health services providers, business, researchers and patients.

The goal is to ensure that people living with pain and health care providers are well informed of what is available for them and that decision-makers and policy makers have access to accurate up to date information, so they can make informed and timely decisions.
